Designed with Samyang's innovative optical technology, this newly released 1.7x Anamorphic MF Adapter offers the high-quality effects of anamorphic lenses, previously limited to only a few professional filmmakers, to a wider audience of video creators at an affordable price. By utilizing high-quality cylinder lens, this product enables shooting wider aspect ratio videos (up to 3:1) on typical 3:2 sensors, maximizing cinematic effects with the V-AF lenses.
1.7x Anamorphic MF Adapter The 1.7x Anamorphic MF Adapter, boasting a maximum aperture of T1.9, effortlessly attaches to existing V-AF lenses, perfectly emulating the distinctive features of anamorphic lenses. It also communicates in real-time with the electronic contacts at the front of the lens to control the optimal focus position, delivering exceptional resolution.
When paired with V-AF wide-angle lenses, it offers a unique visual aesthetic with majestic anamorphic distortions and dreamy background blur unparalleled by other spherical lenses. Furthermore, its 1.7x de-squeeze ratio provides an adequate aspect ratio for Cinemascope, enabling expansive panoramic effects even in regular photo shooting scenarios.
This adapter is compatible with the V-AF series lenses designed for full-frame sensors, including the 35mm, 45mm, 75mm, and 100mm lenses, while the 24mm lens can be used with APS-C and Super 35 modes.
